Actively participating in family events can be important to the emotional health and well-being of our elders. Home Attendant Care assists clients and their families as they preserve valuable connections between all generations. Our trained caregivers are able to handle transportation to and from events and take care of any needs arising along the way. Escorted outings can be as long or short as you like, from an afternoon birthday party to weekend vacations or even reunions in another state…our team is prepared for whatever your family needs may be.
Our travel companion service can help ease the stress of travel days by helping to navigate through transportation hubs, offering support with dietary and personal care needs and much more.
HAC caregivers have served as vacation companions so seniors are able to visit destinations in town, out of state or internationally. Here are just a few places and events we’ve helped people get to, whether to spend time with family or to fulfill life-long dreams:
Long Distance – Mexico, Hawaii, Denmark, New Mexico, Rio De Janeiro, California
Regional – shopping trips to Bellingham and Burlington malls/outlet center shopping, weddings, holidays, birthday celebrations, day trips to casinos or community festivals, exercise classes, social visits, or meals out with friends.
Client Story: One of our clients was living in a full-time care facility but had a life-long dream of taking a cruise to Rio De Janeiro. To make this dream a reality she enlisted the help of Home Attendant Care so she could return to a home environment and work to strengthen her body. After a lot of hard work and loads of personal determination our client booked her dream trip and hired HAC to help along the way – the trip was a dream come true!
