Debbie Gann, CSA*
Debbie Gann, CSA*Director/Case Manager
Debbie, working in healthcare since 1987, has become a recognized advocate for the rights of seniors choosing to remain independent in their own homes. She joined Home Attendant Care in 1997, and worked to establish the company’s reputation for fast responses and quality in-home care. Debbie naturally assumed a leadership role in the company followed by majority ownership in 2006. Today she oversees the Case Management services and day-to-day direction of HAC.
She has served as the treasurer of Alzheimer’s Society of Washington and served on the board of Elder Service Providers of Bellingham. Debbie continually strives to educate seniors and their families about health care issues and teaches classes at Whatcom Community College and Skagit Valley Hospital. Because of her contributions to the local community, Debbie was selected as the Whatcom Women in Business 2009 Professional Woman of the Year and also received the Ken King Service Award from the Alzheimer Society of WA in 2016. Outside of her passion for caregiving, Debbie enjoys camping, boating, cooking and entertaining friends.

Shawna B
Shawna BClient Care Coordinator
Shawna originally joined our in-home care team in 2017 as a caregiver and did an amazing job supporting and caring for her clients.
In January 2022, we invited Shawna to join our office team and oversee the scheduling aspect of our clients’ care. She happily accepted and since that time has gone above and beyond showing that she is a strong advocate for both our caregivers and our clients and always shown compassion and kindness.
Those traits, along with her dedication and increasing knowledge base made her an obvious choice for the roll of Care Coordinator here at Home Attendant Care. Shawna took on the extra responsibilities in the spring of 2023

Shawna spends her free time with her family and friends playing games, crocheting and enjoying the outdoors. She and her partner Dakota have two amazing daughters and a new kitten to keep them busy.

Administrative Support Staff

Torrie
TorrieAdministrative Assistant
Torrie joined the team as our Receptionist / Administrative Assistant in August 2022. Torrie has served those with developmental disabilities as a caregiver and in supervisory roles. Her kindness and calm demeanor serve her well in her role of supporting the caregivers and clients here at Home Attendant Care. She enjoys spending time with her cat, doing arts and crafts and spending time with friends when she is not working.
Elisabeth
ElisabethBookkeeper
Elisabeth joined our team in 2018, after spending a year traveling around the US. She had previously spent 8 years in the veterinary field, running the front office for a local clinic. She is pleased to be working in our family business and is proud of the work we do. Elisabeth has a 3 year old daughter, Harley, who comes to the office one day a week, helping to keep us all “young at heart”.
When not at the office, she enjoys riding her motorcycle, being outdoors, snuggle time with her daughter, taking her dog Chopper for walks and simply enjoying all that the Pacific NW has to offer.
Liz
LizHR Manager
Liz joins our team with 20 years of experience running a business on Orcas Island. As her 4 children have grown older, her and her fiancé realized it was time to move off the island to be close to their children heading into their college years. On Orcas she was the co-founder of Orcas Angels a non-profit organization designed to support the unmet needs of island residents. She also served as Vice President of Orcas Animal Protection Society and was a member of the PTSA Board. She brings with her a passion for serving others. She enjoys gardening, walking to the river with her family, riding motorcycles with her guy and working to have a fulfilled life.

After Hours Support Staff

Because of the nature of the work we do, we feel it is imperative to be available to those we serve, whenever a need may arise. At Home Attendant Care you will always be able to speak with one of our local staff without having to go through an answering service. Evening and Weekend coverage is provided by a wonderful team of professionals. Both Erika and Shawna are dedicated to helping our clients and caregivers whenever the need arises. We are so appreciative for their commitment and compassion.

Valued Team Members

Harley
HarleyKeeping us all young at heart
Harley (Elisabeth’s daughter and Debbie’s granddaughter), is 3 years old and comes to the Bellingham office one day each week. We love having her at the office and sharing her youthful energy and exuberance. She keeps us all on our toes and gives us the opportunity to see the world through the eyes of a child.
Chopper
ChopperOffice Mascot
Chopper is our current office mascot and is a young husky/shepherd mix. He has the most beautiful light blue eyes, is friendly and outgoing and has a wonderful calm demeanor. His favorite activity is greeting the caregivers when they come into the office and of course, begging for treats!!
Rugby
RugbyIn Memory Of...
Rugby was born on Mother’s day in 2008 and passed away in early 2022. He was part of the Home Attendant Care team every day of his life. Caregivers loved giving him treats in exchange for seeing his repertoire of tricks. He also helped to spread joy to the office staff and caregivers, especially in times of stress. He will be missed.
